Job Descriptions

POSITION SUMMARY:  To ensure Bolinder Resources LLC is running and operating as safely and efficiently as possible.

EXPERIENCE:  At least one year experience with current CDL Class A

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES –Involves making deliveries of material and picking up material in the most efficient, economical and safe manner as possible.

  • Daily pre/post-operations inspections
  • Check truck and trailer for safety
  • Stay alert at all times and remember Safety First!
  • Be a self-starter
  • Complete paperwork everyday
  • Equipment maintenance checklist – fill out daily
  • Make sure all fluids & oils are full
  • Maintain all fluid levels
  • Do minor repairs, including tires
  • Must have own tools for minor repairs (fixing wires, changing tires, bolts for mud-flap, greasing brakes)
  • Report any needed repair or maintenance to supervisor immediately
  • Post trip inspection – inform mechanic
  • Keep truck & trailers clean, inside & out
  • Be able to work well with others. Work as a Team
  • time cards – fill out daily
  • Wear safety equipment at all times
  • Fill out trip report completely & accurately
  • Inform supervisor of discrepancies in reports & invoices as soon as possible
  • Ensure all sales and cash receipts are accurate & turned in daily
  • Submit trip report to supervisor daily

DELIVERY

  • Deliver product to and pick up product from specified locations
  • Develop and maintain an efficient routing system
  • Ensure sales tickets are made out prior to loading & delivery
  • Develop and maintain an organized & efficient loading & unloading system
  • Unload material/merchandise according to customers’ requests
  • Verify all items listed on the work order or sales ticket are loaded & delivered
  • Provide the customer with accurate sales ticket & collect payment if needed
  • Clean out beds between loads (if needed)

SERVICE
Service involves providing customer service that will enhance customer & employee relationship.

  • Be courteous and prompt when dealing with customers
  • Be courteous and prompt when answering the phone
  • Work with customers to resolve problems & report complaints to supervisor
  • Actively work to increase personal skills & knowledge

FOLLOW REGULATIONS

  • Observe MSHA, State and Federal Safety regulations
  • Follow all company and regulatory agency safety policies
  • Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license
  • Obey all traffic laws
  • Allow no riders who have not been approved by your supervisor
  • Must be MSHA certified and up to date on all certifications and training

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY (IF APPLICABLE)

  • Training on trucks & trailers. Make sure drivers understand delivery and paperwork.
  • Help and assist others in doing their jobs properly in a safe and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB

  • Must have at least one year experience, with current CDL Class A.
  • Must pass Bolinder Resources’ driving exam.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate equipment and perform job duties assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
Repetitive motion and continual jostling, Staying alert at all times.  Sitting, standing, squatting, walking, driving, climbing kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, shoveling, twisting and lifting or carrying up to 100 pounds multiple times per shift in extreme weather conditions.

  • Perform simple maintenance on equipment
  • General labor
  • Time cards – fill out daily
  • Be a self-starter
  • Wear safety equipment at all times
  • Will be held responsible for loss and negligence of Bolinder Resources tools & property
  • Must be MSHA certified and up to date on all certifications as required

Training on Plant Equipment.  Make sure and assist in others doing their jobs properly in a safe and efficient manner.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:  The job of “Heavy Equipment Mechanic” is done for the purpose of determining needed repairs and/or replacements on vehicles, trucks and equipment, ensuring the availability of vehicles, trucks and equipment in safe operating condition, and providing written documentation of repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with vendors for the purpose of determining parts & supplies needed to maintain mechanical equipment
  • Wear Safety equipment at all times
  • Diagnoses mechanical defects for the purpose of determining needed vehicle, truck and equipment repairs and/or replacements
  • Time cards – fill out daily
  • Executes preventive maintenance programs for the purpose of maintaining vehicles, trucks and equipment in a safe operating condition
  • Look over all equipment when out in the field to keep running efficiently
  • Inspects mechanical equipment for the purpose of maintaining vehicles, trucks and equipment in a safe operating condition
  • Be able to work well with others.  Work as a Team
  • Maintains tools, equipment and/or shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required tools and equipment within a safe work area
  • Stay alert at all times
  • Prepares documentation (e.g. repairs, maintenance records etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or information to comply with Federal and State regulations
  • Complete equipment repair orders daily
  • Repairs vehicle, truck and equipment systems/components, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability of vehicles, trucks and equipment in safe operating condition
  • Be a self-starter
  • Replaces defective vehicle, truck and equipment parts/systems for the purpose of ensuring safe operating condition
  • Go over inspection reports
  • Have the right tools to do the job
  • Responds to equipment malfunction emergencies for the purpose of determining repair needs
  • Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
  • Will be held responsible for loss and negligence of Bolinder Resources tools and property

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO PERFORM HE JOB
Must have previous experience with related diagnostic experience involving both gas and diesel engines.  Skills to maintain gas & diesel engines operate hand and power tools.  Knowledge of repairs, safe working methods and procedure, accurate record keeping.  Knowledge and ability to perform job duties assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
Ability to stand for prolonged periods, inspect and repair vehicles, trucks and equipment.  Significant physical abilities includes lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 100 lbs. + frequently.  Stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, hearing conversation and other sounds, (e.g. air leaks). Near/far visual acuity/depth perception and accommodation.  Spends most time out of doors, frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions.  Exposure to high noise levels.
